Music Group Xscape Reunited
Xscape reunited! Yes, you are reading this correctly. The gorgeous girl group, now all gorgeous ladies, announced that they are returning to performing. With the hashtag #XscapeIsBack, LaTocha made the announcement that the group has reunited. The Atlanta-based girl group launched the careers of Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, Kandi Burruss, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott.
Xscape had three (3) consecutive Platinum albums during the 90’s; along with six top 10 hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Tunes we all remember and still bounce to today, like “Just Kickin’ It“, “Who Can I Run To“, “The Arms of the One Who Loves You“, and “My Little Secret“. The original members of the group included sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and Tamera Coggins, however, Coggins departed the group before their debut album was released. The original group’s last release in 1998, Traces Of My Lipstick, also went platinum. with the hit single “The Arms of the One Who Loves You”.
Social media celebrated the announcement with much fan-fanfare and excitement.

Tiny even released her on video about the news:
On an episode of “Unsung: Xscape”, a TVOne docudrama, the group formed a sisterhood as strong as their sound. Xscape frequently struggled for respect as their raw talent took a backseat to the music industry’s emphasis on looks and glamor. By their third album, the sisterhood had imploded. Since their breakup in 1998, attempts to reunite the group has failed with lingering bitterness and deep seeded anger playing out on public forums.
