1. Upgrade a pair of shoes you already have in your closet with colorful crystals.

You don’t have to buy a new pair of shoes just for homecoming! A cluster of crystals on the heel or toe, can dress up a basic pair of pumps or flats, or you can get creative with a design along the side or straps.

Use a small paint brush or plastic glue syringe to apply craft glue to the back of crystals and place on shoes using tweezers. Putting the glue on the crystals first (rather than applying the glue directly to your shoes) will give you a neater look.

2. Bedazzle some hair pins and store in a mint tin with lip gloss and hair ties for quick touch-ups.

Make a homecoming emergency kit to stash in your purse for touch-ups. Use a hot glue gun to attach crystals, beads, and pearls to bobby pins. Slide on stock paper so you don’t loose them, and store in a breath mint container, along with other emergency supplies, like a mini nail file, lip gloss, and hair ties.

3. Turn a basic bag into a super-stylish feather clutch.

Feathers are a major trend for spring, and a cool way to transform an old clutch you never use anymore for Homecoming. Use a hot glue gun to fasten a row of feather ribbon around the clutch. Repeat to create several staggered rows of feathers until you can’t see the purse underneath.

4. Make your phone charger look as chic as the rest of your Homecoming accessories.

Even your charger can look Homecoming-worthy when you plug it in at the after- party! Use a paint brush to apply Modge Podge glue to the end of the cord, then sprinkle with glitter. Let dry and seal with a top coat of Modge Podge. Pro Tip: Skip the cord — the glue will harden and make it too stiff to coil up and stash in your bag.

Or skip the glitter and glue, and just wrap pretty washi tape around your phone cord, overlapping to make different size stripes.

5. Add subtle sparkle to your look by covering the bottoms of your shoes with glitter.

Use a sponge brush to coat bottom of shoes with Modge Podge glue, then sprinkle on glitter. Let dry and coat again with Modge Podge to seal the glitter.

6. Turn your phone case into a cute wristlet.

Keep your phone handy for snapping selfies when you hit the dance floor! Wrap a leather ribbon through the opening at the bottom of your phone case and knot

7. Deck out flip-flops for you and your besties to slip on when your heels start to hurt.

Your feet are going to get sore after rocking heels all night. Bedazzle a pair of flip-flops to make them cute enough to rock on the dance floor. Attach crystals, pretty embellishments, and even alphabet foam stickers to the straps with a hot glue gun.
